Campgrounds and hotels on our route

Morefield Campground, in the heart of Mesa Verde National Park

Colorado has a wide range of accommodation to suit all budgets – from campgrounds to hotels to motels.

We stayed at a wide range of campgrounds on our trip as they are extremely affordable and accessible with a bike.  We aimed to cycle around 80 km per day, staying as close to the route as possible, however cycling through a few remote towns meant that on occasion we had to cycle further to find accommodation.

The easiest way to book most of the campgrounds listed  is via ReserveAmerica .  You can book online and if you have any problems, the Customer Service department are extremely friendly and helpful.
